Beauty Lab & Laser is the dream turned reality of Amber Knudson and Callie Frank. As business women and best friends, they wanted to build a cosmetic medical spa where women and men can come and receive the highest quality of aesthetic and cosmetic treatments available. They believe in customized treatments based on each individual’s definition of what beauty is to them. Your version of beauty is attainable, and they are here to help you achieve it!
Amber Knudson
MPAS, PAC
Amber completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Mary in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Chemistry.
She immediately was accepted into the University of South Dakota Physician Assistant program graduating in 2004. She then returned to Bismarck to begin her career caring for the people of Bismarck/Mandan and the surrounding area. While working she completed a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2010. She is certified through the NCCPA, licensed to practice in North Dakota and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Amber has spent almost 19 years of caring for the people of North and South Dakota. She initially worked in primary care and surgery in the Bismarck/Mandan community. She then returned to her roots running her hometown clinic in McIntosh, SD. She spent 5 1⁄2 years taking care of the people who molded her as a child into the person she is today. This was an extremely rewarding time in her career and she will always be thankful to her hometown community. During this time, she also worked in various rural clinics and emergency departments helping underserved areas. This broadened her knowledge base and made her a well rounded healthcare provider. Amber then returned to work in Bismarck at Sanford orthopedics for approximately 5 years. More recently, Amber decided to make the jump into the world of Aesthetics and found this to be her passion!
Amber is married to Joshua Knudson who is a General Surgeon here in Bismarck. She has three sons (Jaxon, Lincon, and Rowen) and one daughter (Amelia Monroe) who are the absolute light of her life. Her sons are very involved in athletics so when not at the clinic you are most likely to find her in a gym, football field, or playing Barbies with Amelia. Amber enjoys the outdoors, days on the river, working out and just being with family.
Amber’s philosophy on aesthetic care in her own words:
I want women to feel empowered, beautiful and confident. I provide a safe place for women to come and talk about what they don’t like about their appearance and what changes they would like to see. I believe in providing subtle refinements to your areas of concern through minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. I will listen and help you to meet your aesthetic goals.
Callie Frank
Business Manager
She is the proud mother of two children, her son Tahrye, and her daughter Sloane, who are her absolute biggest blessings. When Callie is not at work you can find her at the football field, volleyball court, or most likely at the gym. She enjoys the river, all things sports, and quality time with her family and friends.
She is excited to start this new chapter of becoming a part of the aesthetic world. “If I can be even a small part of someone walking out of our door, feeling more beautiful and more confident then when they walked in, then my reasoning for wanting to do this will have come to fruition.”
